Over at Takimag, Paul Gottfried launches a new fusilade against his old enemies, the hated neocons who hijacked the conservative movement. He explicitly divides them into a Jewish master class (the house owners) and a Gentile servant class (the butlers and groundskeepers).
Gottfried bluntly says that Jews control the American Right. From their throne in Manhattan, Jewish neocons enjoy the privilege of being able to manipulate the status system (using their own ethnic interests as a litmus test) to determine who is “mainstream” and “respectable” and thus who can be granted entry into the national political conversation.
In spite of all this, Gottfried admires the Jewish neocons for their ruthlessness and despises their Gentile pawns for their servility. He artfully shifts the blame away from Jews and toward Gentiles. I’ve seen Gottfried do this several times before.
It’s exactly like saying you are really and truly opposed to the Slave Power, which we all agree is loathsome, but the Uncle Toms are worse than the planter class who run the system. In the end, Gottfried sounds more like an apologist than a truth teller.
Is there such a thing as a Righteous Jew?
